Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW – LOGISTICS SPECIALIST
As a Logistics Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with the Logikor Team, engaging and supporting our world class clients, delivering exceptional results by utilizing our internal systems, processes, and procedures. You will have significant interaction within Logikor as well as various stakeholders within the supply chain network that we support. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, a passion for continuous improvement within the supply chain management environment and have a sense of ownership in their work every day.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations.
- Previous Dispatch/Traffic experience preferred.
- 1-2 years of previous logistics experience.
- CCS, CITT or PLOG certification preferred.
- 2+ years in international shipments, in a controlled goods/ITAR environment strongly preferred.
- Above average verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Strong sense of urgency.
- The ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to work flexible hours necessary to support customer demands, including weekend and statutory holiday assignments as required.

Responsibilities:
- Set up, rate, dispatch and monitor all movements in accordance with organizational policy and procedure, and to comply with relevant local, country, and international laws as well as customer requirements
- Send standardized reports to customers or management, meeting daily requirements. Update customers on all relevant plan to actual variations or incidents.
- Develop/maintain procedures and processes to streamline customer service and maintain standardization.
- Maintain customer and vendor database in TM software.
- Adhere to local and externally relevant health and safety laws and policies.
- Monitor, record, analyze and report on activities, trends, results, and recommendations relating to Operations.
- Investigate, plan, and implement strategically effective and relevant transport methods, which meet optimally the needs of the organization and its suppliers and customers.
- Track, process, follow up and file Driver/Owner Operator paperwork, PARS, PAPS, Customs Cargo Control Documents, trip reports and logbooks.
