Logistics Specialist

A well-established logistics global shipping and vehicle logistics company, managing the distribution of cars, trucks, rolling equipment, Mafi trailers and breakbulk globally.
Is seeking to appoint a Logistics Specialist to develop and grow a sales pipeline and customer base, and to coordinate and
deliver Logistics Services for imports and exports within our High and Heavy and forwarding operations through own or 3rd party services (customs/ transport/ assembly).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Matric or equivalent
• Degree/ Diploma in business/ logistics / shipping
• 5 years relevant shipping, transportation, or logistics industry experience with a high focus on abnormal transports Industry and product expertise

SOUND KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE IN:

• South African customs procedures, import and export.
• Over border and domestic road transportation, including abnormal transport loads, container loads, consolidated loads etc.
• Ocean Freight, import and export, RORO/BBK/FCL/LCL Airfreight knowledge/experience would be an advantage.
• Basic accounting knowledge and accuracy with figures
• Strong business and commercial acumen.
• Market knowledge and intelligence .
• Results and growth driven.

• Adhere to, participate, and contribute in the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Group Health, Safety, Environment and Quality requirements and any reasonable request concerning this subject.
