You will align the daily operations of Supply Chain with focus on Inbound Management from our global plants and assist with daily supply chain activities which benefit the Supply Chain team as well as the wider business.
Meaningful Work From Day One
Supporting the Supply Chain Planning team for the UK & Ireland, the Logistics Specialist will maintain and build upon the relationship between BF-UK and our 3PL teams, handling processes related to inbound shipments, warehousing and inventory management for both the UK and the Travel Retail business units. The role will work very closely with the wider Supply Chain team, supporting the overall business with stock availability to deliver the business plan to our customers.
Additionally, the Logistics Specialist will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to systems, processes and overall efficiencies, along with providing assistance with cost saving efforts and the tracking of such activities. The individual will also be responsible for the book-to-book stock alignment with our warehouse, maintaining agreed levels of accuracy between SAP and physical stocks.
This is an office/hybrid role with 3 days a week in our fantastic modern office in central London in Fitzrovia.

What You Can Expect

  • Responsibilities covering the inbound process for the UK warehouses, maintaining close contact with 3PL staff, Freight Forwarder team and Global B-F colleagues.
  • Supports the Inventory and Supply Planning Specialist by maintaining agreed accuracy levels of the inventory book-to-book through daily 3PL engagement.
  • Provides logistical and monthly KPI data to the team as well as ad hoc SAP and Excel reporting.
  • Continuous improvement of logistical processes and cost-saving related to the position.
  • Assists the Tax Manager with any issues related to customs clearance, ensuring the smoothness of customs process.
  • Facilitates execution of year-end Stock Take in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Main contact for organising stock transfers to and from other countries (SAP orders, deliveries, communication with LSP) as well as Consignment orders.
  • Supports the Inventory and Supply Planning Specialist in clearance of obsolescent and slow moving stock

What You Bring to the Table

  • Experience in supply chain & logistics, ideally from Wines & Spirits or Fast Moving environment
  • Operational experience in internal container shipping would be an advantage
  • Strong decision-making & Problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain effective relationships.
  • Proven analytical skills and experience with large data sets, particularly in Excel
  • Third Party Logistics relationship
