Description:

TCP Homecare is a healthcare service provider, specialising in ‘direct to patient services’ which include the dispensing and distribution of pharmaceutical products, homecare nursing services and sharps waste management, facilitating a unique turnkey solution for the delivery of hospital care in the patient’s home.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a warehouse environment, of which at least one year has been in a direct supervisory/team leader position
  • Full, clean driving license

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

The Primary Role of the Logistic Supervisor is to ensure all day to day warehouse activities are completed in accordance with procedures thus ensuring the customer/client service level agreements are managed effectively.
This role requires on-call driver cover for every second weekend, with attractive retainer and call-out rates offered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for daily operation activities in pharmacy/stores and the activity of team members.
  • Communicate job expectations and coach employees.
  • Identify areas of improvement and adjust existing work procedures and practices.
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance.
  • Confer and coordinate activities with other departments.
  • Managing the operations roster ensuring sufficient resources are available throughout the day to manage activity.
  • Liaise with the Supervising Pharmacist and Customer Service and Transport Supervisor to ensure efficiency with the daily operational task of Pharmacy & Stores.
  • Reviewing the daily activity and managing the resources ensuring structured to the day.
  • Continuous monitoring of requests during the day ensuring each is actioned timely and dispatched cost effectively.
  • Drive productivity to ensure operational activity is constantly ahead.
  • Ensures the team are fully cross trained on all services and regularly review processes to identify efficiencies.
  • Compiles and monitors a suite of KPI’s to measure performance of their team and department.
  • Motivates and develops the team, setting targets and monitoring progress with regular review and job chats.
  • Supports the Stock Controller in the management of goods receipt and stock counting.
  • Supports the asset management process.
  • Reviews the Maintenance Log ensuring preventative maintenance is scheduled according to SLA.
  • Ensures GDP daily and month end task are completed on time, recorded and sent for filing in the customer service office.
  • Ensures work stations, storage areas and walkways are clean, clear and stock is stored in accordance with GDP Guidelines.
  • Promotes Health & Safety within pharmacy and logistics.
  • Contribute actively to contingency planning and crisis management when required.
  • Act as a backup driver in case of emergency deliveries or supplier collections or short term cover for Van Representative
  • Maintain customer confidentiality at all times.
  • Assist in ensuring that continuing quality systems are implemented and maintained within the TCP Group.
