JOB DESCRIPTION
Watkins are market leading Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing contractors with over 60 years of experience in the industry. We deliver integrated end-to-end building services to the construction industry in London and the South East.
We are currently looking to recruit a Logistics Manager to join our busy on site team on a full time, permanent basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles
- Experience with category management and business processes
- Proficiency in transportation management systems and warehouse management systems
- Familiarity with ERP systems, including AS400
- Ability to analyze data effectively for operational improvements
- Experience in materials handling, picking, and packing processes
- Knowledge of 3PL and shipping & receiving operations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient logistics and site management, while optimising business processes. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics, category management and effective leadership skills to manage a team in a fast- paced environment.
- Oversee daily operations ensuring compliance with safety and quality
- Sponsor of logistic excellence principles in everything that we
- Analyse and improve logistics processes, identifying opportunities to reduce costs, enhance efficiency and streamline operations.
- Demonstrating a Health & S commitment through embedding the Watkins safety culture and engagement across all levels of
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards, particularly in relation to hazardous material handling and transportation requirements
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics professionals, ensuring high performance, engagement, and growth
- Implement and maintain site management systems to enhance operational
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to streamline processes and improve service
- Train and mentor staff on operational procedures, safety protocols, and equipment
- Analyse business processes to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary
- Control of all site based labourers and control workloads on a daily basis, inclusive of deliveries and schedules
- Book all deliveries on a weekly basis via office logistics
- Attend weekly logistics meeting and a good understanding of H&S
- Attend weekly HSE meeting with supervisors
