Logisitics Support
North Lincolnshire
Full time, 40 hours per week.
Salary: £29,500.00, plus £4200 for being on call, plus Serco Benefits.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Assist the Logistics Manager in reviewing process to ensure it is fit for purpose.
Assisting in any business continuity incident
Attending internal and external meetings as directed by the Senior Management Team
Engagement with the Serco Operational Excellence program
Liaison with other Serco departments to deliver or receive service as directed by the Senior Management Team
Liaison with the customer regarding expiry dates of assets.
Primary contact for certain internal and external communications
Provision of accurate comprehensive monthly reporting data
Purchasing for the Secure Logistics Operation using our Guided Buying SAP system and holding/being a ‘P-card’ buyer
Required to provide out of hours cover to respond to alarm activations as part of a set roster with other team members.
Responsibility for day-to-day health and safety reporting and management
Responsibility for management and administration of our small vehicle fleet
Responsible for accurate and timely calculation and reporting of monthly overtime worked by the Secure Contracts team.
Responsible for quality assurance for the operation
Support functions for the day-to-day operation and the wider portfolio of contracts.
The post holder will be required to take deconflicting annual leave with the Logistics Manager
Responsibilities:
MAIN PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Assistant Director Operations, the Logistics Support will be based at our Secure Warehousing facility and will be responsible for providing a business support function to maintain quality assurance and health and safety for the Secure Contracts business area.
The post holder will be required to support the wider Serco Secure Contracts portfolio, working closely with the Assistant Director, Operations, and Senior Management Team to provide business support including, but not limited to, purchasing, maintaining the support function for the contract and will be a contract representative for a variety of employee wellbeing and quality assurance forums.
Acting as the primary contact for certain internal and external communications, will also act as communications champion and represent the employee partnership forum. The post holder will also be responsible for promoting diversity and inclusion within the business.
Additional duties include, but are not restricted to, championing risk within the business, health, and safety compliance both at our operating site and for any remote workers, and site security.
The post holder will be required to be part of an on all call roster on a one in four basis, to respond to alarm activations out of hours.
Serco is committed to delivering Operational Excellence across all our contracts and the post holder will be required to engage in a Serco Operational Excellence training program within the first six months.
The post holder must be able to attain the necessary Government security clearance.
Any other duties commensurate with the role, which will assist with the successful delivery of the contracts.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THE ROLE:
Must be IT literate, with a good demonstrable working knowledge of SharePoint, MS Office 365, including Outlook, Word and especially Excel, as well as being able to use the internal asset management system (for which training will be provided).
Experience of quality assurance and/or health and safety environment.
Experience in delivering projects and change management would be desirable.
An understanding of the UK Domestic driver (UK) regulations - (for which training will be provided).
Experienced in asset management and associated auditing processes.
Site first aider and fire marshal (for which training will be provided)
Candidates must be prepared to attain and retain the relevant Government security clearance.
A current, clean UK driving licence is required
The role is very process driven and the post holder will be required to comply with all Serco global and local policies and be able to intelligently review contract processes.
Must have a flexible approach to duties and working hours.
This is a smart uniformed role.
Must be able to operate to agreed deadlines.
Must have the ability to work in small team.
