As a Logistics Operations Consultant, you’ll providing project management and critical logistics consultancy for our warehouse operations team in Regions. From rolling out to aftercare and support of essential logistics projects, you’ll be crucial to support improvement of productivity and reduce costs in our Regional Distribution Centres. You’ll be somebody who is target driven and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
You will need to be flexible to travel to RDC’s across the UK approximately 40% of the time in the role.

What you’ll do

• Lead new projects from concept phase to delivery and follow up stages
• Warehouse process optimisation to support Logistics management teams develop measures for improved productivity and warehouse compliance
• RDC Consultancy and collaboration visits
• Productivity and Warehouse operations cost including KPI analysis
• Leading and coordinating interdepartmental meetings with Head Office colleagues and external stakeholders
• Handling of daily logistics related queries
• Providing project and process updates to the senior Logistics team
• Preparation and Presentation for national meetings, workshops and project proposals and launch
• Supporting new Regional Distribution Centre openings
• Ensuring company procedures are followed across RDCs
• Regular communication with WH process/operations teams and colleagues

What you’ll need

• Existing knowledge and experience of Logistics and Warehousing is preferred
• Experience working in a Logistics/Warehouse or Supply Chain environment
• Experience of project related work from concept to rollout is highly desirable
• The ability to lead and take active ownership of tasks and projects whilst supporting colleagues through the change cycle
• Great skills in positively address conflict and change
• Highly organised with an ability to manage your own workload, whilst prioritising conflicting deadlines
• Great at building rapport and trust within the regions and HO departments
• Strong communication and presenting skills with a keen eye for detail
• Proactive and creative approach to business with an ability to consider the bigger picture, challenge processes and actively think outside the box whilst encouraging others to do the same
• Confident working with numbers and large data sets to conduct analysis
• Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred
• Problem solving attitude to accurately assess a situation and find solutions with a cost awareness mindset
• Full UK Driving Licence is required and flexibility to travel up to 40% of the time
