HOW CAN YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

We are seeking an experienced roster of graphic and video designers who will be available to work with the Partnership Cone’s teams of UNICEF (PFP, DGCA and PPD) to support and scale up this new model of year-long skill sharing, as well as to provide design and video editing-related services to PFP, DGCA and PPD units.

EDUCATION:

  • First-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree or higher) in graphic design or other related area is required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of four years progressive experience in graphic design or other relevant areas is required.
  • Good portfolio of design work is required.
  • Ability to follow creative briefs and produce accurate artwork which is in line with the UNICEF brand guidelines is an asset.
  • Experience of working for an international organization or an NGO is desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products, such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is required.
  • Multimedia and editing knowledge using Premiere Pro is desirable.
  • Good working knowledge of PowerPoint and other Office platforms is required.
  • Ability to translate data into compelling infographics is required.
  • Ability to deliver products on time and within budget is desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide design support for internal stakeholders, including presentations, infographics, and visual assets for internal communication.
  • Work closely with teams across UNICEF to produce engaging visuals for campaigns, product launches, events, and other activities.
  • Create and modify existing design templates for various digital materials, ensuring brand consistency across different mediums and channels.
  • Develop creative concepts and design mock-ups for review and approval, considering both aesthetic and functional aspects.
  • Create design assets and templates needed for Virtual Skill Share (VSS) sessions and focused events, including branded PowerPoint templates and overlays for pre-recorded sessions.
  • Review speaker recordings and identify, collect, or create appropriate visuals such as still pictures, images, icons, key words, graphs, and infographics to illustrate key points and messages from the recordings.
  • Develop animations and videos to illustrate concepts explained in session recordings, integrating them into pre-recorded sessions to clarify topics being covered by the speaker. These videos can include creative videos, video scribing, motion graphic, animated PowerPoint, or any other form of video appropriate to explain the concept.
  • Where necessary, perform video editing to combine speaker recordings, visuals, and animations to form an online session.
  • Liaise with session teams to ensure visuals and animations are appropriate for the session recordings.
  • For sessions that need to be produced with external vendors, coordinate with the vendor to ensure that visuals and animations are used correctly and in accordance with agreement with session teams.
  • Format or lay-out handouts and other publications needed for sessions, if any.
  • Provide any post-session video editing requirements.
  • Provide post-delivery support in uploading videos in the PFP’s video repository.
  • Assist the VSS organizers in any other creative requirements needed to successfully deliver the VSS.

Responsibilities of the Consultant:

  • The consultant will use their own equipment; laptops, microphones, software and other accessories that may be required for this task.
  • The consultant will not give the content/material or any part thereof, to any third party without the written permission of UNICEF. All components will be the property of UNICEF, and the consultant will not share the same with anyone else.
  • The consultant will not put their own name or logo/emblem on the content / final product. The only organization branding will be UNICEF, if required.
  • Regular liaison with manager and content owners and any related units.

Responsibilities of UNICEF:

  • UNICEF will provide all details pertaining to the activity and the requirements
  • UNICEF will orient the consultant on UNICEF’s branding guidelines
  • UNICEF will share the documents and specifications with the consultant as he/she becomes available and will coordinate the timely delivery of work.
