Description:

Hoop Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Welsh-Speaking Learning Support Assistant for a long-term, full-time role (Monday to Friday) at a vibrant and modern Welsh-medium primary school near Blaina.

The Role
As a Welsh-Speaking Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and students in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Your primary responsibilities will include providing one-on-one and small group support, assisting with classroom activities, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons in Welsh.
- Provide individualised assistance to pupils with additional learning needs.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist in preparing teaching materials and classroom resources.
- Help with classroom organisation and maintaining a safe learning space.
- Monitor and record student progress to support learning development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to enhance the educational experience.
Requirements
- Fluent Welsh speaker (spoken and written).
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Passion for early years education and child development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, adaptability, and a nurturing approach.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant childcare or education qualifications (desirable but not essential).
