Description:
MISSION
We are looking for a highly motivated and Loss Prevention Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to reduce business losses due to theft, fraud or operational inefficiencies. You will work closely with management to ensure the protection of company assets, improve safety in our stores/warehouses and promote a culture of prevention.
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Political Science, Security Policy or Economics
- Excellent knowledge of the Office package (particularly Excel) and SAP
- Good knowledge of English and/or French
- Security certifications (for example, Certified Loss Prevention Specialist - CLPS)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to challenging work environments
- Experience in security, loss prevention or investigations roles (preferably in retail or logistics).
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to work in a team.
- Expertise in using security management software and data analysis tools (SAP)
- Crisis management and problem solving skills in emergency situations.
- Knowledge of safety and loss prevention regulations.
- Travel: 25% of the time
Responsibilities:
KEY ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and analyze data related to theft, damage and inventory loss.
- Monitor and analyze store and warehouse inventory data.
- Implement and manage security systems (anti-intrusion systems, anti-shoplifting systems, safes, etc.) and video surveillance to prevent illicit activities.
- Conduct investigations into internal and external theft, damage and fraud.
- Collaborate with teams to improve operational procedures and protocols and reduce risks.
- Train staff on loss and fraud prevention best practices.
- Create and maintain detailed reports and write investigative reports on incidents and suspicious activities.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement for any legal action or external investigation.
- Conduct periodic audits of inventories and ensure compliance with company safety procedures.
