SUMMARY:
The Sales Associate team member works in a fast-paced environment that involves constant interaction with customers, delivering friendly and courteous service while explaining product benefits and fulfilling customer needs. This role also involves store maintenance such as stocking shelves, merchandising and general housekeeping.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior experience in loss prevention or educational background in loss prevention, security or law enforcement
- 1-3 years retail experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior observational skills
- Working knowledge of surveillance camera controls
- Ability to recognize unsafe working environments
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Willingness to attend meeting and trainings to improve skills
- Knowledge of loss prevention principles, procedures, systems and safety programs
- Knowledge of sales techniques and methods used by fraudulent vendors
- Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:
- Monitor all occurrences of theft within the retail store
- Enforce all Loss Prevention policies and procedures
- Assist other departments as needed
- Uphold loss prevention programs; unannounced visits to ensure compliance, safety, and standards are being met
- Uphold policies and procedures related to security, surveillance, and loss prevention
- Oversee physical security measures
- Uphold emergency plans and help to manage response teams during emergencies
