- Passion for Performance: A strong passion for optimizing low-latency networks, with hands-on experience in network transport and routing protocols (Multicast, OSPF, BGP, TCP/UDP).
- Adaptability in Multi-Vendor Environments: Expertise working with a variety of low-latency network switches and devices, ensuring best-in-class performance across diverse platforms.
- Communication Excellence: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to business teams, senior leadership, and other stakeholders across trading and operations.

- Cost Efficiency & Innovation: Focus on building new network routes, reducing operational costs, and identifying new opportunities for business growth through technical partnerships and innovation.
- Partnership Development: Foster strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to promote BSO’s products and services, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Executive-Level Reporting: Provide strategic updates and technical insights to the board, ensuring that low-latency network initiatives align with business goals and objectives.
- Budget Responsibility: Oversee and manage the budget for network projects, ensuring resource allocation is optimized and financial objectives are met.
Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Low Latency Network Architect, you will be a key driver in delivering high-performance solutions across the company’s global datacenters and colocation estate. You’ll oversee all aspects related to colocation sites, including site access, equipment procurement, logistics, capacity management (power, space, servers, network ports, etc.), performance optimization, service availability, and connectivity. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to meet the demands of critical services, such as market data delivery and direct market access systems.
In this pivotal role, you will design, engineer, and deploy cutting-edge ultra-low latency network infrastructure. You will lead the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of network hardware, security hardware, software, and connectivity. Additionally, you’ll be at the forefront of project management, ensuring timely and efficient configuration and optimization of networks to deliver optimal performance for trading systems. This includes overseeing connectivity with exchanges, brokers, and managed service providers, ensuring seamless and low-latency delivery for intraday trading.
