Responsibilities:

  • Follows-through with the Practice Manager’s staffing plan. Maintains inventory of medical/office supplies and order medical/office supplies. Monitors and records refrigerator temp during clinic hours. Follows practice manager’s administrative decision making. Observes staff for customer service standards. Supports an environment that respects diversity. Interacts with patients/families daily consistent with the state nursing practice act. Provides accurate and consistent communication.
  • Participates in staff meetings. Collaborates with the practice manager and physician with recognizing and communicating opportunities for improvement related to best operational efficiencies in the physician practice setting. Embraces change and acts as a change agent. Monitors quality of completion of core processes in the department. Collaborates with other departments or disciplines to achieve desired outcomes as assigned by Physician. For clinical staff only - provides observations and feedback to the practice manager and physician with recognizing and communicating opportunities for improvement related to best operational efficiencies for the physician practice clinical setting.
  • For clinical staff only - Provide ongoing and annual feedback on performance and identified leadership characteristics and behaviors. Coach and counsel employees to achieve success in their role.. Assist in all non-clinical duties as needed. For clinical staff only - Provide feedback on clinical performance to clinic administrator. Assist in all clinical duties as needed. Assist with daily operations of the clinical area. LPN Nursing Role: Clinical supervision provided by the LPN is limited to assuring that tasks have been performed as assigned or delegated and according to established standards of practice. Teaching nursing activities to health care personnel is beyond the scope of practice of the LPN.
  • Teamwork: Exhibits teamwork, organizational skills and professionalism. Works within a team to achieve patient and team goals. Shares and initiates regular and professional communication with coworkers. Participates in regular staff meetings. Collaborate with the clinic administrator and physicians to provide input for ongoing and annual feedback on performance and identified leadership characteristics and behaviors. Provide feedback to clinic administrator and physicians on employees to support and provide success in their role.
  • Human Experience: Provide guidance to team members as they navigate patient concerns through teaching, good communication and trust building behaviors. Seek feedback from team members for innovative ideas to improve the experience for both patients and team members. Utilize relationship building skills through rounding to provide training and coaching to team members for how to effectively connect with patients. Provide guidance, training and coaching to team members on Always Event behaviors and use patient feedback to create innovative ideas to meet patient needs. Acknowledge the diversity of your team and patients and model an inclusive environment by involving others in decision making. Ensure team members have pertinent information to educate patients on procedures and processes. Be a role model for the mission, vision and values through interactions with team members and patients.
