Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY:

We are looking for a LSCM Manager to join the BSAF Logistics Supply Chain Management team based in Midrand South Africa. This role is responsible for the planning and management of activities related to material/product logistics, aimed to meet pre-determined quantities, quality and deadlines, and the efficiency of operational flows. Coordinates materials supply, storage, distribution, and order delivery, seeking the optimization of available resources to meet the needs of the Production and Sales areas. Develops studies and determines strategies to enhance the efficiency of the processes.
Given the cross-functional participation involved, you will create and maintain relationships with different stakeholders (eg. Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, Product management, branches, and countries) in the organization.
Key qualities: You must have constant quest for innovative improvement, rigor, excellent relational capacities for managing teams and faultless sense of organization.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Business Management, Logistics or Supply Chain Management Degree or similar.
  • 8 years or more in a same or similar role within the tyre manufacturing or similar would be advantageous.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a managerial role.
  • Experience in working for a global company would be advantageous.
  • Experience in leading team in a VUCA environment and maintaining a positive team climate.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demand & Supply Planning - Key Leader/Stakeholder in S&OP Process to find optimal balance on demand and supply including inventory levels to achieve business objectives.
  • Distribution Centre Operations - EHS-Zero Incident Culture, Capacity Optimisation, Warehouse Operations - Inbound / Outbound Flows, Storage & Inventory Management Strategies, Tools and Processes, 3PL Management.
  • Logistics Planning & Optimization – Ensure Cost To Serve and Service Levels (OTIF) are met
  • Transportation & Fleet Operations - Defining optimal transportation route in Transportation Operations, Fleet Management, 3PL’s
  • Supports business execution of new programs and initiatives eg network redesigns, DX use cases, ERP upgrade / related projects
  • Monitors key sales and operations planning performance indicators, cost-to-serve performance data, Key KPI’s and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
  • Support Collaborative Improvement Projects to improve CX (customer experience) and DX (digital experience) to drive more value in the supply chain upstream and downstream using various techniques with focus on tools, processes, people on all material, financial and information flows
  • Identify and Manage Risks in the value chain and appropriate mitigation plans
