Lube technicians specialize in quick light care maintenance of vehicles such as oil checks, oil changes and tire rotations. Working as a lube technician is a great way to get into the automotive industry.
QUALIFICATIONS: (REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES)
- Experience in a similar role is considered an asset but not necessary
- Minimum of Grade 12 diploma or enrolled in Automotive Technology program
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industry
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Believes quality and detail is of utmost importance in maintaining vehicle safety
- Focused, driven, team player, with strong and effective communication skills
- Effective time management skills and socially perceptive
- A passion for customer service and Automobiles
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet throughout the shift
- Class 5 driver’s license and be able to effectively drive a manual transmission
- Legally entitled to work in Canada by any employer
Responsibilities:
- Change oils and filters, check the tire pressure and add fluids when needed
- Rotate tires, check brakes and run diagnostic tests
- Complete vehicle inspections, including brakes, fluids, belts and tires
- Perform all lubrication activates on Toyota and other makes of vehicles
- Responsible for keeping service items stocked
- Proper handling and movement of their vehicle
- Constant communication throughout the bay with other associates
- Performing all requested services on their vehicle and follow manufacture directives as needed
- Ensured cleanliness and maintenance of customer’s cars.
- Used to working in a fast-paced environment as a team player
- Ability to keep calm under pressure and handle stress under extreme circumstances
