REQUIREMENTS

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
• Licensed Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the state of Wisconsin obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work within a hospital setting.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, and completion of CNA or EMT program required.

Work Experience:

• Minimum one (1) year experience required.

Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician, provide direct care to patients in the Emergency Department.

• Perform urgent and emergent care procedures including EKGs, wound care, vital sign monitoring, IV initiation and codes.
• Monitor patient condition and performs data collection.
• Communicate findings and patient condition to primary Registered Nurse (RN).
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Assist with the mobilization, ambulation and transport of patients.
