Organization Overview: The newly-created Data Science Resource Center (DSRC) is responsible for supporting and advancing the research objectives of Rockefeller University’s faculty and staff by providing training and consultative support in the field of data science - especially in the areas of machine learning and artificial intelligence (ML/AI). Overview:
The Fisher Center (FC) at Rockefeller University was created to provide resources for investigators to explain the causes of Alzheimer’s disease and other age-related neurodegenerative disorders at the levels of brain circuits, cells, and molecules. A comprehensive understanding of how neurodegenerative diseases are caused, and how they progress, will set new directions for the efficient design of therapies that can delay or prevent the onset of cognitive decline in individuals at risk.
Reporting to Dr. Paolo Emilio Barbano, Director of the DSRC and advised by Dr. Nathaniel Heintz, Director of the FC, the ideal candidate will work in close collaboration with scientists across the Fisher Center labs in developing novel multimodal transformers.
We welcome applications from creative, highly motivated, and ambitious candidates interested in pursuing projects based on their own ideas or within the existing lines of work at the interface of experimental and computational system neuroscience.
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:

  • Research, implement, and deploy state-of-the-art CV algorithms and systems for the identification, and classifications of brain images
  • Build prototypes and explore conceptually innovative solutions
  • Work at creating CV and predictive AI/ML workflows in close collaboration with members laboratories that form the core of the Fisher Center, including Dr. Junyue Cao
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned
