REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post Secondary Degree in Science, Engineering, Business or related field
  • PMP and/or PMI-ACP certification
  • 3 - 5+ years experience in industry managing projects in a technology focused environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities effectively
  • Intermediate understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques across various domains, including their strengths and limitations
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g. Asana, Miro)

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Product Owner, Advanced Technology, the Machine Learning Project Manager leads our machine learning initiatives and drives the successful delivery of projects in this field. As a Machine Learning Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and implementation of machine learning projects, working closely with cross-functional teams of data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders.
In this position, you’ll use your business and project management skills to play a pivotal role in facilitating exceptional relationships with Amii’s clients. You’ll bridge the gap between business and technical expertise while focusing your skills on planning and executing client engagements. Using your strong communication skills, you will keep all stakeholders and team members well informed on project progress and performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and success criteria for machine learning projects
  • Take responsibility for end-to-end project deliverables and outcomes while managing and exceeding client expectations
  • Develop a thorough understanding of client needs and work to coordinate internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of client engagements
  • Manage all project and client engagement aspects, such as dates, budgets, performance indicators, progress reports, contract agreements, and invoicing
  • Facilitate communication and maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholders and team members
  • Capture project outputs, track project deliverables, glean insights/best practices/lessons learned and incorporate feedback to continuously improve client engagement
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in machine learning and identify opportunities for their application within client organization
  • Inspire and motivate cross-functional teams using excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
