JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree is preferred. 7+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or as a field service technician to include electrical, fabrication, pneumatics, and hydraulic maintenance; CNC experience is required. Strong electrical and mechanical skills is required.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good record. Maintain open communications with other departments. Develop and maintain effective internal relationships. Required to use company vehicle to pick up supplies or make deliveries. Ability to mentor and maintain a strong team environment for all Facilities members. Fanuc Controllers a plus. Pneumatics and hydraulic maintenance experience a plus. Plumbing, or other areas of facilities trade a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and performs regularly scheduled maintenance (preventive maintenance) on all production and tooling machines, including support equipment, conforming to internal requirements and manufacturer’s specifications to minimize production downtime.
  • Proficient in reading schematics and blueprints and applying this knowledge to effectively troubleshoot and resolve machine issues.
  • Troubleshoot and Repair malfunctioning machines and prepares new machines and production equipment for operation, including electrical and control issues.
  • Observe the operation of manufacturing machinery, paying attention to small details and symptoms to identify issues that need correcting, either in operator error or mechanical malfunction
  • Test machines to confirm the presence or absence of issues, making recommendations for continued operation based on the results.
  • Evaluate the efficiency of each machine, making recommendations for practices or upgrades to improve output rates without compromising operator safety.
  • Conducts technical inspections of machines.
  • Complete daily work orders assigned by the manager. Track and complete work orders pertaining to repair and maintenance assignments including, but not limited to, the items listed above.
  • Ensure all maintenance and repair activities are recorded, organized, and complete. Records must be readily available for reference or audit purposes.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance components.
  • Recommend purchase of necessary maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies as required to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean safe work environment.
  • Perform facilities maintenance as required.
  • Observe all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety policies and take all precautions for own safety and that of others.
