The opportunity:
As a Machine Operator with our 3 Waters Department, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of plant on our construction sites, excavating trenches, and laying sewage and storm water drains. Reporting to the Foreperson, you will be joining a down-to-earth and hardworking team who really values each other!

In addition to the above you will:

  • Take part in pre-start meetings – understand the hazards and the plan to control them, always speak up if not sure
  • Operate plant and machinery as directed by supervisor / foreman
  • Ensure machinery checks (e.g. tyres, oil and grease, plant pre start) completed and necessary maintenance completed before machinery is operated

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have Current drivers licenses class 2 and 4 is preferable
  • Have WTR with experience operating machines in a drainage role
  • Be Problem solver, who thinks ahead about the next step
