JOB SUMMARY

FDI Poultry Equipment is a leading manufacturer of poultry cage systems for farms across North America and we are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to assist with the daily operations within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible operating machinery, maintaining a safe working environment, and eventually overseeing the warehouse functions. This role requires strong mechanical skills for assembly and interpreting drawings, strong problem solving skills, an ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment, and a solid understanding of warehouse processes (from manufacturing to shipping).

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in a lead role or similar position.
• Proficient with various equipment: forklift, breakpress, drill press, machining with mill/lathe, mig welder, powerdercoat painting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
• Forklift certification is required; willingness to become certified if not currently held.
• Standard First Aid & CPR certification is required; or willing to become certified if not currently held.

  Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
  Expected hours: No more than 45 per week

• CNC lathe: 2 years (preferred)

• Forklift Licence (preferred)

• Pivot between many key functions including: cutting material, forming, assembly, machining, and shipping.
• Daily operation of machinery including: forklift, break press, drill press, machining with mill/lathe.
• Troubleshooting damaged equipment and repairing if necessary.
• Coordinate daily activities to ensure efficient operations.
• Train staff, fostering a positive work environment.
