EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 0-2 years or more increasing responsibility
- Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
- Able to follow Standard Work Instruction for all tasks expected to perform
- Must be flexible to work extra hours during weekdays and weekends
- Demonstrates some leadership skills through informal coaching and teaching others
- Ability, willing, and motivated to lead and mentor co-workers in the future
Responsibilities:
- Works with Supervisor and Lead Hand to ensure that daily productivity targets are met in a timely and safe manner.
- Demonstrate positive and safe workplace behavior at all time and work as a team in the achievement of daily production targets.
- Completes a variety of tasks within a department (may be Press Shop, Door line, Cut to length and Shear)
- Sets up and operates break press and/ Or notching machines, in accordance with established safe procedures.
- Comply with company’s EHS guidelines and ensure all required PPE are used while working on the shop floor
- Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery.
- Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to material specifications, in safe and timely fashion.
- Focuses on learning tasks and ensuring quality at all times.
- Perform repetitive tasks and handle material up to 5-20 Lbs. for an 8-10 hour shift.
- Contributes to the overall functioning of the team by maintaining awareness of best practices/emerging issues, both internally and externally, sharing best practices and building effective working relationships across the team and company.
- Strong desire to train in any/all departments.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
