Machine Technician / CNC Programmer

We are a leading national manufacturing company specializing in custom kitchens, headquartered in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal. We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and technically-minded CNC Programmer / Machine Technician graduate with mechanical knowledge and at least 4 years of experience.

As a CNC Programmer / Machine Technician, you will ensure that all machines operate efficiently to meet our customers’ needs and expectations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing and commissioning machines in accordance with design specifications.
• Performing machine diagnostics.
• Conducting servicing and maintenance of machines.
• Providing conceptual and strategic solutions to solve problems.
• Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential machine issues.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Semi-Skilled Fitter in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical degree or certification in mechanical engineering, industrial technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel across the South African continent for work purposes.
• Valid South African driver’s license.
• Flexibility to work odd hours to attend to machine breakdowns.
