As a Machine Translation Specialist at Milengo, you are part of the Product Management Team and help applying Milengo Products in our international clients’ projects.

Tasks

• Apply and continuously improve machine translation processes:
• Deploy MT-based services for all appropriate accounts and projects
• Perform MT evaluations together with Project Management and Vendor Management to expand language scope based on customer demand and to improve margins
• Refine existing MT processes, including engine selection based on new language combinations
• Perform MT quality assurance after projects completion to gather feedback and identify improvement areas
• Verify that MT for the greenlit language combinations are up to date in Milengo’s project management platform
• Research and Development of MT:
• Keep up to date with the latest industry developments
• Assess the suitability of new MT engines and processes for implementation in production
• Develop new approaches together with the Engineering team to enhance and refine the MT customization process and customize MT engines
• Keep MT documentation up-to-date and roll out changes to stakeholders
• Organize and support trainings for sales and production teams on MT-based project workflows

Requirements

• Degree in a Linguistics, Translation Studies, Computer Science, Engineering or something similar.
• Deep understanding of the principles and technologies of machine translation, including familiarity with most common tools and platforms; memoQ skills are of advantage
• Proven Track Record with post-editing processes and quality assurance in machine translation
• Practical Programming or software development knowledge to support the integration of machine translation into existing systems
• Ability to analyze translation data and assess the performance of machine translation solutions for continuous improvement
• Understanding of cultural differences and their impact on translation and localization
• English Level C1+
