You will act as a key worker for this cohort of patients and work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to achieve evidence based personalised care.
We would consider a Band 6 to develop into a Band 7.
The role involves providing specialist nursing practice, advice, and support to patients undergoing reconstructive surgery, for breast cancer and non-oncological breast conditions. You would act as a key point of contact for those patients, their relatives, and carers and be accountable for the delivery of personalised, holistic care. Within the role you’d be working as a member of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to achieve evidence-based care, contributing to the development and delivery of breast reconstruction specialist nurse services, on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.

Demonstrate leadership skills facilitating the continuing development of knowledge, skills and competencies supporting breast reconstruction patients and nursing teams supporting those patients.
Practice as an accountable, autonomous nurse taking personal accountability for your actions and decisions.
Maintain safe practice, understand your own limitations, and escalate where appropriate.
