Description:

NSO Programme Workforce Lead Develop and lead on clinical and non-medical workforce workstreams to shape new pathways and policies across the NSO Programme, reporting into the programme governance. Facilitating workshops and multi-professional, multi organisational working task and finish groups within dedicated workstreams. Develop effective relationships & networking actively to establish and build a wide range of effective networks, contacts and partnerships internal and external to the Trusts which are used to inform and influence the direction of patient care and NSO services. You will have the opportunity of influencing the working across the whole West Yorkshire Harrogate Cancer Alliance (WY&HCA) footprint for NSO and would need to have strong influencing and negotiating skills, credible clinical expertise in NSO and cancer pathways.
You will contribute to Oncology, SACT and Divisional governance, as part of the multi-disciplinary team across the south sector. You will influence and support clinical colleagues through the change process. Your will be confident in dealing with sensitive information and be able to deal with stressful or challenging situations with successful outcomes. You will have Well-developed political awareness, influencing, negotiating and conflict resolution skills.
You will contribute to the clinical and strategic direction for the development of the NSO service and will be a key member of the senior clinical and management team, providing senior leadership within the south sector. You would use your professional knowledge, clinical insights, and expertise using research and a strong evidence base, developing own knowledge and expertise to influence care & services throughout the development of the projects you will lead on. You will actively contribute to research activity relevant to your area of work and ensure presentation of research finding and audit data. You will support colleagues; medical, non-medical, operational and across managerial directorates to adapt to the changing landscape of NSO Programme and changes in a positive and realistic approach.
Lead the development and review of policies and guidelines in line with evidence based practice. Information Management Ensure research and data are analysed to inform policy and pathway developments and clinical developments , enhancing the decision making processes. Ensure timely and accurate information analysis and reporting to management on agreed areas of work including monthly (or at a frequency agreed) highlight reports. Contribute to the development of key performance indicators for the successful assessment of individual and work stream success.
Give advice, instruction, training and present formally. Advise and support colleagues, where standard protocols do not apply, draw upon advanced knowledge and skills make appropriate judgments and decisions to deliver high standards of care. Responsible for recording, processing, and storage of information that is personally generated. Managerial Duties To support, and hold to account clinical work stream leads to ensure accurate and timely reporting on projects you are leading on.
You will report to the Lead Nurse Consultant for the NSO programme Develop and present highlight reports, action, and risk logs in to the governance structure of the programme. To utilise project methodology, data and reporting against the milestones within the 2 year project. Financial Duties Support the delivery of the Trusts cost improvement, transformation and efficiency programme Identification and application of any national or local funding opportunities to support the projects/programme. Managing Self Participate in regular supervision.
Complete all mandatory training. Participate annually identifying, developing and agreeing your own development plan with your Line Manager using the Trust Appraisal. Comply with all Trust policies, procedures and protocols. Carry out duties with due regard to the Trusts Equal Opportunity Policy.
Seek advice and support from Line Manager whenever necessary. Maintain professional conduct including appearance at all times. Ensure maintenance of Professional Registration
