POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the direction of the Supervisor, Accounts Payable, and in accordance with approved policies and procedures, the incumbent is responsible for managing in excess of 28,000 invoices per month and ensuring all appropriate invoices are electronically scanned as well as performing all mail processing functions required in Finance; ensuring the overall efficient operation of the mail room; and performing other related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 1 year experience within the last three years in a computerized accounting environment required, preferably in an Accounts Payable health care environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience within the last three years with utilizing Optical Character Reading (OCR) technology including both hardware and software required.

EDUCATION (DEGREE/DIPLOMA/CERTIFICATE)

  • Completion of high school education, Manitoba Standards, required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) required.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written) in the English language.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize workload, multitask and meet deadlines.
