Mainframe CICS Developer with Java

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mainframe CICS Developer with strong Java programming experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining critical CICS applications while integrating them with modern Java-based systems. This role requires a deep understanding of mainframe technologies and the ability to bridge the gap between legacy systems and contemporary architectures.

• Design, develop, and maintain CICS applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex CICS-related issues.
• Optimize CICS application performance and resource utilization.
• Develop and maintain CICS batch jobs.
• Design and develop REST or SOAP APIs to expose CICS functionalities.
• Integrate CICS applications with Java-based systems using MQ or JMS.
• Participate in modernization projects, migrating CICS components to Java or other platforms.
• Perform data transformation between mainframe and distributed systems.
• Write unit tests for Java components and integrate them into the overall test suite.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
