DESIGNATION : Mainframe Production Support Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in mainframe and solid CARDLINK (Credit card and Debit card system) hand on experience.
  • Experience with mainframe tools such as Endevor, File-Aid, and Control-M.
  • Knowledge of COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS, MQ Series, Ezytrieve
  • Prior application or production support experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Willing to work rotation shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all support requests, incidents, issues, and tickets to ensure flawless and quality delivery of service to end-users.
  • Manage day-to-day issues, including daily health checks of applications and processes.
  • Provide procedural and technical support to various teams and work in partnership with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be detail-oriented, and able to multitask and work independently.
  • Work closely with end users, development staff, and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents and mitigate outages.
  • Identify problems before they occur and suggest approaches to prevent outages.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of production problems, identify root causes, and recommend solutions to resolve application malfunctions and prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure all incidents and changes are progressed efficiently and effectively to meet application service levels.
  • Be part of an on-call support team (on-rotation basis) to ensure production stability.
  • Help identify, coordinate, and implement initiatives/projects that promote efficiency and optimization of daily processes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and/or availability.
