Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

As the Mainframe Security Manager, you will oversee the security operations for our mainframe systems, with a focus on RACF. You will be responsible for implementing security policies, managing user access controls, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in mainframe security management, specifically with RACF.
  • Strong knowledge of mainframe security protocols and best practices.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • RACF administration and security auditing experience.
  • Knowledge of mainframe operating systems (e.g., z/OS).
  • Certifications in security management (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures related to mainframe systems and RACF.
  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions within the RACF environment.
  • Monitor security logs and reports to identify and respond to potential security incidents.
  • Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are followed across all systems.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on security protocols and awareness.
  • Stay updated on emerging security threats and technologies to enhance security measures.
  • Lead incident response efforts for security breaches or vulnerabilities.
