Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
As the Mainframe Security Manager, you will oversee the security operations for our mainframe systems, with a focus on RACF. You will be responsible for implementing security policies, managing user access controls, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Proven experience in mainframe security management, specifically with RACF.
- Strong knowledge of mainframe security protocols and best practices.
- Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- RACF administration and security auditing experience.
- Knowledge of mainframe operating systems (e.g., z/OS).
- Certifications in security management (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures related to mainframe systems and RACF.
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions within the RACF environment.
- Monitor security logs and reports to identify and respond to potential security incidents.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are followed across all systems.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on security protocols and awareness.
- Stay updated on emerging security threats and technologies to enhance security measures.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches or vulnerabilities.
