Canda Six Fortune Enterprise Co. Ltd. is one of the leading importers and distributors of Asian food products from the Pacific Rim and other regions of the world. We are currently expanding and looking for a Mainstream Food Service Sales Representative to join our Mainstream Food Service Sales team. This position can be stationed in our offices in British Columbia or Alberta or Ontario, and will support our portfolio with chain restaurants.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Mainstream Food Service Sales Representative reports to the National Sales Department Manager – Mainstream Food Service in BC. This role focuses on business development and account management with Food Service Distributors.
REQUIREMENTS / MUST-HAVES:
- Minimum 1-2 years of sales experience in the food service industry dealing with customers and food distributors.
- Reliable vehicle and a full driver’s license.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Persuasive communication skills combined with strong presentation skills.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle sales pressure and client objections independently.
- Proficiency with PC (working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
- Ability to lift/carry cases of product up to 20kg.
- Confidence and motivation to drive the business forward.
- Good multi-tasking, organizational, and prioritization skills.
Responsibilities:
- Generate new business with food service distributors through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and relationship building.
- Develop and expand the food listing base with existing food service customers and distributors.
- Evaluate customer business needs and analyze market trends to develop customer-focused product items.
- Utilize strong negotiation skills to manage and maintain profitable margins.
- Develop territory-specific strategies to increase market share, outlining tactics, activities, and resources.
- Strategically plan and forecast with the Purchasing Department on supply chain management.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of our products.
- Deliver presentations and possibly perform food demonstrations to food service distributors and restaurants.
