Description:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Grade 12 education.
  • Proficient in computer knowledge, organization of data and data entry accuracy.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Operations and Magris Talc business systems an asset.

Knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics:

  • Must be able to receive direction and work efficiently under supervision and work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to perform general office and clerical work.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in use of computer and related software programs to accomplish assigned tasks such as MP2, AX, Microsoft, and Google applications.
  • Knowledge of office practices and Magris Talc policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to accurately write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to maintain complex records and to assemble and organize data.

Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

  • Specialized administrative duties for the purpose maintaining plant equipment and procurement supplies for the maintenance department.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Retrieve, gather, input, and maintain maintenance information in both computer and manual systems.
  • Provide general administrative work to assure accuracy and smooth operation of the Maintenance Department.
  • General clerical duties, including filing, photocopying, posting of notices, and ordering of parts and supplies as directed.
  • Develop and issue computer reports as requested (MP2, Excel, AX).
  • Assist with and/or prepare materials.
  • Prepare summary reports of maintenance costs.
  • Research availability and sourcing for purchasing of emergency and critical spare and repair parts.
  • Compile information such as identification of items, costs, vendor, freight charges, etc. for purchasing of all maintenance materials.
  • Prepare all purchase requisitions, coordinate, and expedite approvals as required, maintain all budgetary records, and provide follow-up action with related departments such as Accounting, buyers, vendors, requestors and receiving.
  • Review documents for accuracy, sufficiency and maintain any necessary follow-up.
  • Maintain all files and inventory records of all orders placed and received, including delivery time schedules.
  • Keep up-to-date records of materials used so that minimum stock levels are maintained.
  • Keep up-to-date records of fall arrest safety equipment.
  • Keep up-to-date records of slings and all rigging equipment.
  • Maintain to small tools registry.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
