We are seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and facilities operations for a portfolio of commercial/industrial and multi-family properties. · Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and lead maintenance teams, including skilled tradespeople, while coordinating multiple projects.
- Driven Problem-Solver: Demonstrated technical troubleshooting skills. Energized by challenges and dedicated to finding effective solutions.
- Tech Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, with a willingness to learn and use in-house IT systems.
- Flexibility: Self-directed, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Experience: 2+ years of facilities management or related experience, with hands-on expertise in building systems and operations.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, building automation, and solar energy systems, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. In-depth knowledge and experience with building envelopes, including their maintenance, repair, and performance optimization.
- Regulatory Familiarity: Knowledge of OHSA, WHMIS, and relevant building, fire, and municipal codes and regulations.
· Education: A C.E.T. Diploma, post-secondary education in Facilities Management, Engineering, or certification as a Journeyperson in a designated maintenance trade or related field is preferred.
