The Maintenance assistant will be located in Seaforth, Ontario, reporting the maintenance lead and location manger and will focus on assisting with maintenance of plant operations and plant labor support during harvest seasons. The maintenance assistant will need excellent team cooperation skills as they will work in all areas of plant operations.
-Performing work in all weather conditions
-Performing general maintenance work to avoid possible failures and malfunctions
-Assisting in developing preventive and corrective maintenance programs
-Analyzing repairs and troubleshooting to find root issues
-Working with millwright support as needed
-Maintaining complete records of daily maintenance activities
-Maintaining a clean, safe and organized work area
-Adhering to company policies, safety regulations and all food safety programs
-Assisting with labor duties as required throughout the facility during harvest seasons

  • Excellent teamwork
  • Willing to adapt to changing environments
  • Follows direction from team leadersWelding and previous maintenance experience would be additional asset
