Maintenance Assistant

at  Lyrath Estate Hotel

DescriptionThe 5 star Lyrath Estate in Kilkenny are currently recruiting an experienced Maintenance Assistant to join the team on a full time basis.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Assist with all day to day facilities and maintenance operations across the entire hotel
• Ensure all hotel brand standards in relation to building regulations are maintained in conjunction with senior management
• To assist with the various energy programmes throughout the hotel
• Follow up on all guest requests in relation to maintenance issues
• Assist with heating/plumbing/painting/electrical repairs
• To ensure all maintenance repairs are in line with health and safety requirements and all tasks are documented
• Work collaboratively with the existing maintenance team

The successful candidate will:

• Must be knowledgeable of all aspects of maintenance operations
• Must have excellent attention to detail
• Knowledge of all legal building/electrical regulations advantage
• The ability to work on their own initiative, as well as being capable of working as part of a team.
• Must have plumbing or electrical experience.
• A warm, friendly and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests.
• Be eligible to work full-time all-year round without restriction. Please note that this full-time position is not suitable for anybody who is subject to visa restrictions.
• Fully fluent in both written and spoken English.

Hours of Work:

• This is a flexible role based Monday to Saturday
• The successful candidate will work 5 days per week
