We are currently looking to fill a permanent full-time position for a Maintenance Coordinator for our Farm Operations Department at our Leamington, ON location.
The Maintenance Coordinator role is the hub from which all planned maintenance activity is coordinated. This role will be responsible for overseeing the coordination of planned tasks and tickets as well as unplanned on-site maintenance activities. The individual will be expected to anticipate and eliminate potential roadblocks and delays by coordinating all related maintenance activities.

Job Specific Duties
- Maintenance Team Support
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize progress of service tickets, and determine the urgency of tickets and when to escalate the potential issues.
- Working within CMMS system to create, monitor, identify and ensure accurate system configurations.
- Attend and record meetings when required, analyze and report against service metrics.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the smooth execution of multiple service requests.
- Ensure that all service and maintenance projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget in support of the Maintenance & Project Managers.
- Effectively collaborate and communicate with the Maintenance Manager and departmental Managers to provide insight, updates, resolve issues, etc. relating to operational roadblocks and concerns.
- Support the development of and maintain all standard operating procedures (SOPs) associated with equipment/processes.
- Continually monitor team and departmental effectiveness, identifying areas of improvement and cost savings opportunities.
- Support the planning and stocking of the tool crib with key items in collaboration with the Tool Crib Attendant based on new requirements/components.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to monitor and adjust active preventative maintenance programs when necessary.
- Responsible for renting equipment for various maintenance/projects, ensuring equipment is returned to the vendor when no longer needed.
- Support maintenance team members with efficient ordering of non-stock items.
- Materials Coordination
- Assist Growers/Farm Operations with the tracking, ordering, and forecasting of greenhouse related consumable materials in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager, Growers, and Purchasing.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of greenhouse consumables such as seeds, fertilizers, growing mediums (slabs/Coco/soil), and various crop care supplies in collaboration with Purchasing.
- Receive and coordinate incoming materials to ensure order accuracy. Communicate to other departments for quality acceptance/inspection.
- Organize, facilitate, and distribute materials to the appropriate location for storage and consumption purposes.
- Provide insight into potential quality, service, and product issues.
- Additional responsibilities relating to materials coordination and maintenance support as required by the Maintenance Manager.
- KPI, Reporting & Administrative Support
- Work with the Maintenance Manager to identify key performance indicators for Farm Inventory & Tool Crib Management.
- Review, summarize, and distribute reports and essential communications to key stakeholders.
- Must comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications
- Experience as a maintenance planner/scheduler is an asset.
- Must be safety conscious at all times and follow all Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations.
- Ability to support and collaborate with various teams and achieve deadlines.
- Experience and comfort in working with computers and software programs specifically CMMS and/or maintenance reporting programs.
- Excellent communication abilities including active listening and written communication skills.
- Must have excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Solid organizational techniques and abilities including attention to detail and multitasking.
- Strong problem-solving abilities are required to analyze/mitigate problems and any unforeseen complications that could arise.
- Ability to embrace and adapt to the rapid growth, innovation, and development of the company, with a commitment to continuous learning.
- Actively initiate, participate in, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required.
Working Conditions
- This is an active role, and time may be spent in office and at job sites.
- Travel between sites may be required.
- The Maintenance Coordinator reports to work Monday-Friday, weekends and after hours may be required at times.
