Description:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance Director plans, organizes, and supervises the work within the maintenance department to ensure the proper functioning of equipments, as well as the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the quality of facilities available to guests in the hotel and restaurant.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Training in building technical maintenance;
- At least five years of experience in building technical maintenance;
- Relevant experience in team management;
- Bilingualism;
- Strong sense of responsibility, organization, and follow-up skills;
- Proactive problem-solving abilities;
- Good interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Regularly conduct inspections of the hotel to identify potential issues and determine maintenance and repair tasks to prioritize;
- Inform the hotel’s General Manager of any significant problems requiring intervention and propose an action plan;
- Plan the work to be executed based on observed issues and needs expressed by management, and organize daily execution by team members;
- Continuously supervise the quality of work performed by team members;
- Ensure a quick response and diligent follow-up on intervention requests made by guests and other departments;
- Establish the preventive maintenance schedule for the establishment and ensure its implementation by team members;
- Participate in performing maintenance and repair tasks;
- Hire, train, and evaluate team members;
- Manage employees and material resources allocated to them to adhere to established budgets;
- Provide employees within the department, the necessary tools to carry out their various tasks;
- Act as a resource person for external suppliers, and contractors, involved in property maintenance;
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workplace;
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to optimize the guest experience.
