We currently have exciting opportunities for Full Time Permanent Maintenance Electricians to join our operations team. Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for equipment installation, maintenance and repairs on machinery comprising of complex interconnected PLC and pneumatic systems and electrical hard wiring and installations up to 650 Volts at our sites in Colac.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high precision trade skills using various materials, operation of electrical test equipment and specialized techniques
- Install, repair, commission and maintain equipment incorporating complex interconnected Pneumatic, PLC and Servo systems
- Carry out electrical hard wiring and connections up to 650 Volts
- Connect and disconnect electrically operated equipment throughout the production facility
- Assist in maintenance of industrial ammonia refrigeration plant electrical control systems
- Examine, diagnose modify and repair plant and equipment incorporating complex interconnected Pneumatic, PLC and Servo systems (including ordering that machinery cease work if appropriate)
- Apply computer operations as required for maintenance of PLC/SCADA systems incorporating industrial communications networks including fault finding and PLC program analysis
- Perform computer operations as required for maintenance department operations, information and recording of electrical wiring systems modifications or installations
- Operate lifting and load shifting equipment
- Provide assistance to other maintenance staff with breakdown and general factory maintenance
- Maintain documentation pertinent to the work area
- Use equipment as per safety instructions, and wear protective clothing and equipment as required
- Demonstrate ongoing continuous commitment to O.H &S principles and compliance with Company safety tag and lockout procedures
- Assist in the training of production personnel in operation of production equipment in a safe and efficient manner
