Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Darwin, NT, or Broome, WA. You will play a key role in maintaining and supporting the operation of off-grid solar and battery systems while working closely with our team to deliver high-quality service. With the growth of our operations, this role offers the prospect of advancing into a Service Manager position, overseeing service operations and supporting broader business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on solar PV and battery systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Workshop Support: Assist in managing the workshop, including inventory, equipment maintenance, and system readiness.
  • Customer Support: Provide technical support and advice to clients, ensuring systems meet their energy requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and technical teams to support the delivery of solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Service Management Prospects: As the role develops, take on additional responsibilities such as coordinating service schedules, supervising technicians, and contributing to operational planning.

Requirements

  • Qualified Electrician: Certification and proven experience as an electrician, with a strong focus on maintenance.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience with solar PV systems, battery storage, and off-grid power solutions is desirable.
  • Forklift License: A valid forklift license is preferred.
  • Vehicle License: C Class required, HR is preferred
  • Leadership Potential: Demonstrated ability to take initiative and grow into a leadership role.
  • Adaptability: Capable of working in remote and challenging environments.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Team Player: A collaborative approach to work, with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in managing maintenance schedules or coordinating service teams.
  • Knowledge of compliance and safety standards for solar and battery systems.
  • Familiarity with remote or rural power systems.
  • Training or accreditation in solar and battery technologies (SAA accreditation a plus, with training provided for the right candidate).
