Description:

Client is a very well established and growing NZ owned food production & distribution business with branches nationwide.
An experienced and preferably trade qualified Engineer is sought for the Auckland branch in Otahuhu.

5 years minimum process engineering experience in a food production environment, along with experience maintaining blending hoppers and packaging machines is essential.

  • Ensure that all machinery onsite is running at optimal levels.
  • Preventative maintenance is carried out on all machinery.
  • Train and assist staff on machinery where required
  • Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, costs.
  • Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
  • Develop new products and processes to expand the companys product range – including enhancing existing products and developing new ones
  • Assist with the research and purchase of new manufacturing machinery including travel to manufacturer where appropriate.
  • Investigating and troubleshooting plant/process problems
  • Taking responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment (including all equipment, machines and materials).
  • Notifying the Manager if at any time equipment, machines and materials constitute risk.
  • Complying with all Standard Operating Procedures including the Health and Safety requirements that are incorporated.

Hours of work are 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with no weekend hours.
