WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Electrical Engineer in our Scunthorpe Rod Mill Engineering Team, you will play a pivotal role in managing and leading our Electrical Craft Team Leader and Team Member colleagues. Your leadership will be crucial in supporting our electrical team within your assigned plant area.
Your expertise in electrical maintenance and installation techniques will be instrumental in ensuring our processes, systems, and equipment meet all legislative and business standards. Additionally, your skills will drive the development of innovative and efficient working methods, fostering continuous engineering improvements that benefit our business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES!

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Safe and Stable Operations: Ensure safe and stable operations by adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as industry standards.
• Safety Conversations: Foster a culture that encourages the submission of safety conversations. Regularly conduct positive safety discussions and task reviews, implementing improvements to task methods as needed.
• Performance Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to boost performance, minimise downtime, and increase productivity.
• Performance Analysis: Analyse performance issues, identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Core People Management: As the lead for your electrical team in the Rod Mill you will be responsible for ensuring that team member reviews are conducted, establish engineering professional competence requirements whilst creating a maintenance team succession plan fit for execution.
