Description:

The purpose of the role is to ensure the machinery at our crate wash facilities is working as it should be. Regular servicing of the machinery to ensure it is fully operational and to create preventative maintenance plans for the machinery. Identify improvements and automation options to improve overall site performance. Participate in ad hoc project work as required.

Responsibilities

  • Performing maintenance and repair tasks on technical installations to ensure functionality and reliability are maintained;
  • Analyzing complex technical issues and finding solutions that go beyond standard answers;
  • Exploring alternative scenarios and approaches to achieve the best tailored solution;
  • Ensuring the quality and functionality of installations, so that all internal requirements and societal standards are met;
  • Maintaining priorities even when work pressure increases, and always performing well;
  • The ability to manage personal stress and keep things in perspective, without letting it affect the rest of the team or the environment;
  • Seeing situations and challenges in the right proportions and remaining calm and effective during busy periods.
  • Perform service work and preventative maintenance on the washing system and keep the whole system in optimal condition.
  • Resolve breakdowns and identify problems before they occur.
  • Draw up a preventive maintenance plan and work to a schedule.
  • Planning of major services and machine overhauls.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, machine services, and keep accurate records.
  • Identify any spare parts and tools which may be needed.
  • Keep track of parts used and request replacements in good time.
  • Identify improvements and automation possibilities to improve performance.
  • Work in conjunction with OEMs and machine manufacturers.
  • Compile accurate PPM service reports on all work completed on the system.
  • Participate in ad hoc project work as required.
  • Visit other sites as required to look at process optimisation or any other ad hoc requirements
