Maintenance Engineer

Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Staverton, Gloucestershire site. In this role you’ll support the continued maintenance of incumbent and increasing range of Hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical Test equipment.

The role:
Reporting to Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead, you’ll be working within the Manufatcuring Engineering team . You will be responsible for resolving equipment failures, site services, Creating, Refining and carrying out planned and unplanned Maintenance & Engineering tasks in a responsive and effective manner. You’ll maintain, repair and fault find on machinery using various maintenance disciplines and will be responsible for responding to breakdowns.
About you:
The person we are looking for will be a time-served in Mechanical & Electrical disciplines with City & Guilds Qualification,18th Edition preferred but not essential. Hydraulic, Electrical and Pneumatic experience would be essential. You’ll have previous experience in a maintenance engineer or technician role.
You’ll have strong knowledge of IT based systems, with the ability to use other office packages to produce the correspondence as required, and be familiar with the use of e-mail. Flexibility and a commitment to the team are also essential.
