Our client is a member of a renowned, Western European-owned group of companies specialising in the production and distribution of pet food. Their facility is located just 40 km southeast of Budapest, where they are continuously developing and automating their manufacturing processes. They are currently seeking a talented and ambitious Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience with a secondary qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Minimum intermediate level of English proficiency
  • At least 2 years of experience in maintenance
  • Willingness to spend at least one-third of working hours in production areas
  • Desire to learn about ATEX and safety regulations
  • Advanced computer skills and openness to learning specialised software
  • Organisational and occupational safety knowledge

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

The role involves organising the preventive and predictive maintenance of machines and equipment within the production units, ensuring their faultless and reliable operation. Additionally, it includes procuring the necessary tools, materials, and supplies for maintenance activities, and keeping the digital database of spare parts up to date. Furthermore, the role involves assisting in the setup of new equipment or production lines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining an inventory of parts, conducting daily stock checks, and placing orders as needed
  • Planning and monitoring the maintenance of production equipment
  • Actively participating in the installation and commissioning of new production equipment and automation projects, adhering to the company’s quality standards (e.g., IFS Food requirements, HACCP regulations, CP and CCP points supervision, GMP requirements, etc.)
  • Organising and maintaining the technical condition of the infrastructure network within the company group
  • Reporting to the Technical Manager
