About the role
This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned Maintenance and Engineering Manager to be part of a site based Senior Leadership Team as our business expands its operations into exciting new realms!
As the Maintenance and Engineering Manager for our Tritton Copper Operation you will oversee and lead the development of optimal life of asset strategies to ensure effective maintenance of all site asset and infrastructure, including shutdown planning and execution.
Your key accountabilities will include
Ensure that HSE risk management system coverage of the work environment is planned, scheduled and effectively applied
Ensuring all relevant compliance obligations are met (e.g. in respect of mining and HSE legislation)
Visible Safety Leadership and guidance to all employees and contractors
Developing and implementing a long-term equipment maintenance and replacement plan (and associated KPI’s) that reflects continuously improving asset utilisation and reduced total life costs, consistent with Tritton Mines Strategic Business Plans
Ensuring the safe and effective management of designated capital equipment projects
Ensuring effective maintenance systems are in place and operating satisfactorily
Ensure performance of direct reports meets all role and performance plan requirements and development plans are in place
Ensuring critical review of performance against plans take place and identify, analyse and prioritise opportunities for improvement.
Achieving the business plan within current technical and infrastructure constraint.
Managing department operating forecasts and budgets including people headcount budgets
About You
At least 10 years’ experience in a trade-based maintenance leadership role preferably in a mining or heavy engineering environment
Strong leadership skills with an ability to positively influence team members and crews
An absolute focus on, and commitment to, exceptional health and safety practices
Familiarity with maintenance management systems
Capacity and preparedness to work under difficult climatic and physical conditions in remote locations

The Operation
Tritton Copper Operations is a long life copper operation located near the towns of Nyngan and Cobar in central New South Wales that commenced production in 2005. One hundred percent owned and operated by Aeris Resources, Tritton forms the cornerstone of Aeris copper production.
Tritton comprises an underground mining complex feeding a 1.8 million tonne per annum conventional processing plant. Copper concentrate produced at the operation is railed to the Port of Newcastle for export to customers internationally. The current mine plan for Tritton extends to FY2030.
