Coregas has a full-time opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team based in Yennora. This role will be responsible for performing maintenance, fabrication and installation work as directed by the Maintenance Planner, Operations Maintenance Co-ordinator or Operations Engineering Manager at Yennora, Wollongong, Kings Park and Newcastle Coregas branches. This position reports into the Operations Engineering Manager.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Trade qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Boiler making
  • Have gained a minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in maintenance roles, preferably in the industrial gas industry
  • Basic workshop drawing skills
  • Be able to occasionally travel to other Coregas branches to assist in maintenance or project tasks as required
  • Provide support with emergency response when required inside and outside of normal business hours
  • Have availability and flexibility to work occasional Saturdays (paid as Overtime)

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all production plant, distribution equipment by monitoring, maintaining, and repairing production equipment in accordance with MEX (in-house maintenance planning system) and at intervals requested. This includes isolation and return of plant and equipment as necessary.
  • Ensure work orders are executed on time and documentation is complete for work order close out
  • Perform maintenance activities at Coregas NSW branches (Yennora, Unanderra, Ace Cryogenic & New Castle) and practice good housekeeping standards
  • Assist the team in monthly Yennora workshop housekeeping efforts
  • Issue work permits for non-routine maintenance tasks
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunction and resolve issues.
