Description:
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
We’re pleased to invite applications for the position of Maintenance Fitter as part of the Maintenance team, based in Brompton, SA
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll resolve mechanical problems and perform preventative maintenance of plant and equipment, while maintaining safety and maximising production.
In this pivotal role, you’ll provide highly responsive service to production areas, ensuring all maintenance requests are reviewed, investigated and actioned.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in the role, you will need:
- A completed apprenticeship in a metal trade or a similar field.
- Strong maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment maintaining fixed plant.
- Proven experience in assessing equipment conditions and making sound decisions on corrective actions.
- Sound computer literacy.
- A safety-oriented mindset with the ability to demonstrate safe behaviours in the workplace.
- A current and unrestricted driver’s license.
- The ability to prioritise and manage conflicting deadlines.
While not essential, experience in the manufacturing or mechanical industry will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities:
IN TERMS OF SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES, YOU WILL:
- Organise tasks within the assigned work plan and coordinate with external and internal stakeholders as required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with quality requirements, company policies and statutory regulations.
- Initiate and complete Work Orders, ensuring timely sign-off and providing relevant feedback.
- Use EAM to update and complete allocated/delegated work/tasks generated via maintenance requests.
- Resolve operational or technical equipment problems to minimise manufacturing interruptions.
- Provide immediate responses to emergency work orders and troubleshooting expertise as required.
