We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and operation of our fleet of waste collection vehicles.

Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Manager plans, organizes and supervises the Division’s maintenance staff and functions. This management position holds responsible for overall fleet/equipment support and associated maintenance processes that include inspection, repair, pre/post servicing, vehicle distribution, quality assurance and disposal Perform diagnostic tests on garbage trucks and other diesel-powered equipment to identify issues.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all fleet vehicles, ensuring they are safe and operational
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend vehicle life
- Manage and supervise a team of mechanics and technicians, providing guidance and support
- Monitor and analyze fleet performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including DOT requirements
- Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to optimize fleet utilization and efficiency
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
- Manage the budget for fleet operations, including parts, labor, and equipment costs
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers for parts and services
- Conduct regular safety training and ensure adherence to safety protocols
