Location: Torbram Rd & Clark Blvd, Brampton
Pay: $33/ hour
Shift: Wednesday to Sunday 9:00am - 5:00pm. This position will require availability to work operational hours as needed.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Maintenance Lead reports to the Senior Supervisor, Facilities & Maintenance and leads a team of maintenance technicians in a single shift. The Maintenance Lead is responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing maintenance operations within a Distribution Centre and to ensure that safety, sanitation, and reliability standards are achieved. This hands-on role will perform and oversee the technical tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and sanitation of production equipment, infrastructure, and facilities.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Ensure all production equipment and automation meeting safety, food safety, and other applicable regulatory standards
  • Plan, coordinate, and perform as needed, daily, weekly, and monthly preventive and/or predictive maintenance checklists, upkeep and calibrate general building (including racking, dock doors, waste management) and production equipment (conveyors, automation, case sealers, material handling equipment), leveraging relevant job plans, procedures, and manuals;
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and other maintenance related problems; Assign criticality, prioritize maintenance jobs, and define and oversee work required
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalations and corrective actions for all facilities and maintenance topics within the fulfillment center
  • In the absence of the Facilities & Maintenance, manage and complete all maintenance tickets and master preventative maintenance schedule to ensure all activities are up to date and are completed on time
  • In the absence of the Facilities & Maintenance, manage vendors and lead a team of maintenance technicians to troubleshoot maintenance issues and repair or replace of assets as required
  • In the absence of the Facilities & Maintenance, source and manage maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) spare parts, consumables, tools, and other related maintenance equipment needed to ensure assets are in good working order
  • Manage contractors and suppliers, oversee tasks, and ensure completion of deliverables
  • Support equipment and facilities upgrades required to improve safety, quality and productivity
  • Work in compliance with OH&S acts and regulations.
  • Use personal protective and safety equipment and clothing as directed by the employer and report workplace hazards and dangers to the supervisor or employer.
  • Other duties as assigned
