Description:

Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village, managed by Legacy Hotels and Resorts Limited have a rare opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join our high calibre team in a well-established global brand. This role will be fully responsible for the 2 year old Novotel Liverpool Padding Village. The Hotel boasts 221 bedrooms across 16 floors, a variety of sophisticated meeting rooms, a 53sqm Gym and ground floor coffee shop.

Responsibilities:

To be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all areas of the hotel to ensure that all comply with company, hotel and legal requirements at all times Commitment to Quality All team members are expected to care for our customers in a friendly, helpful, efficient, and professional manner at all times.

  • Comply with all statutory and company regulations relating to health and safety, hygiene, conduct of employees, fire emergency procedures and security
  • Manage a small maintenance team
  • Ensure that all staff and contractors in your areas of responsibility work in a safe environment and wear protective clothing when supplied and whenever necessary
  • Maintain and keep in order all heating equipment (supported by external contractors)
  • Maintain and keep in good order the boiler house equipment (supported by external contractors)
  • Maintain mechanical plant (supported by external contractors) Maintain water tank and drainage system (supported by external contractors)
  • Plumbing repairs (with support from external contractors where applicable)
  • Ensure that the cleaning of kitchen ventilation happens as legally required (with support from external contractors where applicable)
  • Repair or install new tiles to floors and internal walls as required
  • Install new equipment
  • Maintain all electrical services in the building (alongside contractors) including equipment, lighting, fire alarms systems and lifts CCTV
  • Periodically check fire alarms, equipment and emergency lighting system
  • Ensure that any faults with the fire alarm system are dealt with immediately
  • Check and record meter readings
  • Repair key locks / Ensure sufficient stock of keys
  • Repair to equipment and furniture
  • Replace worn or damaged woodwork / Paint or varnish work
  • Undertake any other duties that may reasonably requested of you by management to ensure the smooth running of the hotel
  • Carry out Risk Assessments and assist with training throughout the hotel
  • Control expenditure in line with the limits set by the General Manager and Financial Controller for the purchasing of maintenance spares, parts and supplies
  • Report any maintenance repairs likely to require expenditure over the planned budget
  • Be responsible for emergency repairs and breakdowns, i.e. Control of external contractors and /or call outs of maintenance personnel to achieve immediate repair i.e. to kitchen equipment, lifts etc
  • Maintain all health and safety statutory records in line with legal requirements and to adhere to all company rules policies and procedures
  • Ensure 2 safety/fire walks are carried out each shift
